Hengsen (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was registered in Shanghai in July 2006 as the head office of Hengsen Group (the Group) following its restructure. The main activities of the Group are manufacturing and international trade as well as financial, legal, logistics and consulting services.
The Group’s main areas of trade focus on chemicals, microbiology products, automotive tires, various manufacturing and mining equipment, household appliances, construction materials, trimming and plumbing supplies, specialized machinery.
The Group’s services include but are not limited to:
- — aid in reimbursement of value-added tax during the exporting of goods from People’s Republic of China (PRC);
- — arrangement of financing and credit for commercial activities in PRC through the Chinese banks;
- — quality control of goods dispatched by Chinese enterprises;
- — pre-trial and judicial settlement of disputes on the territory of PRC;
- — collection and assignment of information about the Chinese enterprises including their solvency;
- — registration and liquidation of foreign companies’ representative offices in PRC.
The geography of deliveries and partner contacts include the countries of the former USSR, USA, Australia, Republic of South Africa, Israel, Indonesia, Poland, Czech Republic and more.
The Group’s main partners on the territory of the CIS were such corporations as Belarus State Concern for Oil and Chemistry - “Belneftekhim” (consisting of enterprises like “Belshina Joint Stock Company”, RUE “PA “Belaruskali”, “RUE PA Svetlogorsk Khimvolokno”), as well as “Standard and Western (trademarks “Rolsen”, “Rubin” and other), PA “Belaz” and various other companies.
In the international market amongst the main consumers of the Group are the world leaders in diamond manufacturing such as “De Beers” and the world leaders in mining such as “BHP” together with other international corporations of the similar standing.
Hengsen (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. maintains close contacts with a great number of large Chinese state corporations (CATIC, COFCO, CMEC, CITIC), and also with main Chinese banks.
The Hengsen (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. independently realizes the majority of projects through daughter-companies and structural subdivisions, nevertheless, some activities are realized together with interested partners through creation of joint ventures or strategic alliances. For example: Belarusian petrochemical products are supplied to the Chinese market through the distribution company set up by Hengsen together with concern “Belneftekhim”.
